Developing digital products since 1996

Since 1996 I’ve been building digital products. I was eleven and we had an unmetered internet connection. Eager to learn, I landed my first developer job in 2001. Three years later I started my own business as an independent web developer. I worked for big brands like Heineken, Snickers, and Mentos, but also built and launched products independently.

Serial entrepreneur

  • Web development consultancy frisB: 2004 - 2012
  • Digital studio Woodenshoes: 2009 - 2010
  • CTO and co-owner of digital learning platform Learnbeat: 2012 - 2019

As the CTO of Learnbeat I had many roles. Starting as the sole developer and ending as the leader of the development team my role evolved. These years taught me a lot about how to be an inspiring manager and how to build a successful business. Learnbeat scaled to serve hundreds of thousands of students and teachers and became a market leader in digital personalized learning.
